Letter of Volatility for GS110TP - Use special software utility
Hi,
I have a Letter of Volatility for GS110TP. Within the Non-Volatile memory section it says to 'use special software utility' to sanitise the SPI flash memory.
What special software utility is this referring to and where can I get the program?

What is the plan here - to destroy the device?
if you clear the SPI Flash is no longer workable / bootable, it's no longer a GS110TP.
There is no user data (config, usernames, password, ...) stored there.

At the risk of being ignorant: There is no user data, just the boot and switch image put in place from the factory, and probably updated later with the firmware image updates. This would require some special equipment to access and erase. To power up the part of the electronics, to connect some tools used for hardware development. The same applies regardless if the hardware is no longer operational. This is what Netgear explained as part of the document.
A normal factory reset does erase the user content from the user accessible Flash.
