no software update available

I received a message from Netgear that I should update my MR6450 - Nighthawk M6 Pro mobile router as soon as possible. However, there is no software update available when I request an update through the device's menu. The current software version in my M6Pro is: NTGX65_12.01.54.00 and is from 12 April 2024.

  • Thank you all for your responses and input. The update was rolled out today for my M6Pro. Patience is a virtue.

    Are you sure this email came from Netgear?

     

    Firmware for mobile routers is distributed by your carrier (not by Netgear), so you should reach out to them.

      I buy the M6Pro direct from the Netgear store in 2023-01 , so it is not a device 

      distributed by a carrier!

    Netgear support is not possible because ends waranty M6Pro.

      Hi Manitou - I was having same issue receiving Netgear email but nothing when trying to update via my M6 pro browser admin page until a couple of days ago. I was prompted within my admin page an update is available and now I have firmware version NTGX65_12.01.74.00.

  • Sometimes those update alerts roll out in batches, so the notification can appear before the firmware is actually pushed to your device. You might try rebooting the router, checking again after a few hours, or confirming with Netgear support whether NTGX65_12.01.54.00 is already the latest for your region. I’ve seen similar update-delay explanations discussed on small finance as well sometimes it’s just a staged rollout rather than a missing file.

      Yes I agree, looks like the updates are being rolled out in batches as mines arrived a few days back. I am now running on firmware NTGX65_12.01.74.00. Hopefully this will happen also for Manitou the original poster of the thread.

        Hi rcpax - After update I now have firmware NTGX65_12.01.74.00 and PRI version 03.00
