Multicast issues (GS724TPv2)
Hi,
I'm having some problems using Multicast through my GS724 switch. When I boot my PC(s), they can send and receive Multicast packets without an issue, however this only lasts a few hours before I get constant errors. I can fix this by rebooting the PCs. I don't have the same issues when I use a different (Ubiquiti) switch.
In order to get Multicasting to work in the first place, I had to disable IGMP Snooping.
I've read on this forum that Storm Control might be causing an issue - however Storm control is (and always has been) disabled:
The error that comes up implies that sending Multicast packets is the issue, not receiving them but I'm not 100% sure on this.
