Multicast routing between subnets/VLANs

Hi,   Where I work we have purchased a GS108TV3 switch.   We are currently trying to set it up so that we can route multicsat traffic between 2 subnets and we are struggling to get this working. ...

There is no Multicast routing on these comparebly simple switches.

 

As this is a limited environment, you can go the hard way.

 

Switching -> Multicast -> IGMP Snooping -> IGMP Snooping Configuration ..disable everything.

  • IGMP Snooping
  • Validate IGMP IP Header
  • Block Unknown Multicast Addresses
  • Auto-Video Configuration

Switching -> Multicast -> IGMP Snooping -> IGMP Snooping Interface Configuration

  • Select at least hte ports where you need the Multicast (port and/or LAGs)
  • Disable Admin Mode (for the IGMP Snopping that is)
