Netgear managed switch GS116Ev2 error The switch and manager IP address are not in the same subnet
When trying to use Prosafe configuration utility I am receiving the message "The switch and manager IP address are not in the same subnet!" How do I fix this so I can use the utility?

With just one of these switches on the network, one might guess it's on the default IP address 192.168.0.239 (so the 192.168.0.x/24 subnet, while your computer might be on the 192.168.1.x/24 255.255.255.0 network with a 192.168.1.x address.
Typical approach would be temporary reconfigure the computer LAN or WLAN adapter IP address to an address in the subnet of the discovered switch address, like 192.168.0.123/24 255.255.255.0 with GW and DNS set eg. 192.168.0.1 (does not matter, not really in use). Then reconfigure the switch using the utility to use DHCP so it picks an address from the router (while connected).
