Netgear ProSafe 802.11g WLAN Repeater
Hello Guys,
I have a Netgear ProSafe 802.11g FWG114p Switch at home. I know an old device but for my case it could be fine. I want to repeat the WLAN so that we can it use in other rooms as well. The switch is connected via LAN-Cable on the Port "Internet".
I also tried some settings on the Admin Panel but I am not sure, what are the correct settings for a new" WLAN Signal.
Would be great when some of you experts could help me. My son need some Internet on his phone đ
Many thanks.
Best Mike

Difficult and very outdated. It's not just a switch and a access point, but it's built like a NAT router combined with an 802.11q 11 Mb/s access point, supporting no security (open) or WEP only. Sorry, these FWG114p are relict from the past (around the year 2004). With all due respect - unless you bring the legacy know how required to operate such a museum piece: Forget it, it's not worth to think about.
Look around the second hand market, consider some known working wireless access points like a WAC104 or find a WAX202/204/206 for example.
- I thought so too the last week. Many thanks for your answer.
