You're caught in a catch 22.
If the device is truly a hardware failure, it doesn't cost (they refund the fee, ask up front).
If they troubleshoot with you (costs up front), and it turns out to be a setting, user error, wiring error, then it does cost money as their phone support is only free for 90 days.
So if you're sure its a hardware failure, contact them. they have you do a basic power on test from the start. If it passes the power on test, then it costs for further troubleshooting. Again, if you're sure its a hardware failure, get them agree at the start to refund the fee if it does indeed turn out to be hardware related.
(half the reason for the forum is to troubleshoot before needing to contact support)

Thank you for your help.
My switch sporadicaly dont forward packets anymore (Just 3 Devices are plugged in). PC show packetloss. After i deplug the Power Source and replug it again after 30sec it works for 10-24h before hanging again.I didnt change any config in the last 6 years. So I thought thats have to be a Hardwarefailure :)

A couple things to test first.
Start with testing cables and ports first to see if its a cable, pc, or port issue.
Move the switch next to the router and use a short 6 ft high quality cable.
Then connect the pc to it with another short 6ft high quality cable.
and then test each port on the switch.
You'll also want to test with more than 1 pc to see if its a pc issue.
Then other things to check.
1. power supply. it uses a fairly generic power supply. look at what the voltage/amperage is. See if you have one with a matching voltage and at least the same amerage. it can have more amps but not less. Try testing that.
2. try reloading the firmware and factory resetting the switch. Its not a full managed switch but it does have some basic configurations to it. and settings or firmware can get corrupted. so try reinstalling the firmware and then doing a factory reset. Test it in its default configutation to see if a setting you'd setup caused the issue.
I'd start with the firmware reinstall/reset and then move onto power supply and testing cables.
If you do that, you're covering more bases so it if truly is a hardware failure, your less likely to get charged if you contact support. (and its not an expensive switch, it if truly is failed and they're going to charge you for it, not worth the cost)
they usually run you through the base testing to see if its truly a failure and not a settings issue.
