Curious if you managed to fix this very odd issue. In general, Gigabit Ethernet is mostly trouble free to establish a link. Quickly searching on the wild Internet brings up for example https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Broadband/Ethernet-ports-not-working-on-Sky-Router/td-p/4231937 ...no solution there however, except of contacting Sky and request a replacement.
