Tagged port not working
I have a 2 switches both directly connected to the router. 1 switch is POE and other is not.
When on the POE switch i change a port to be tagged it stops working means device on that port will not get an IP address. All ports are on VLAN1. This is a managed switch. I have a NTU, phones and workstations plugged into this. Phones need to on a tagged port so NTU can do the job.
My second question is i have been asked to put NTU in VLAN 10 and keep phones in VLAN1 , then service provider will push the configuration to the phones. Will phones be able to talk to NTU(Which on a different VLAN) just making the ports tag the traffic.
POE switch is netgear

Not just the phone port needs access to the VLAN, also the uplink port to the router must be configured accordingly.
