Can you control the switch using SNMP packets

Hello, I would like to know if you can control and configue a switch (GS105) by sending SNMP packets. Failing that, what are packet protocols used in the communication of changes to the configuration of a switch? With this information, I can then start remotly configuring the switch, using scripts. (I acknoledge their are already .cfg files, but I want to use a script to send packets to the switch so that the switch changes configuration.)
