Frame Type Configuration for MS308E

The Netgear 8-Port 2.5G Multi-Gigabit Ethernet Easy Smart Managed Essentials MS308E advertises it supports jumbo frames of 9000 MTU, however I cannot find the option. Are these switches auto MTU or should I be bale to find a setting for it?

Thanks

Richard

  • The MS308E does - like the MS305E, MS108EUP (all so called Plus switches), MS308TUP (a Smart Managed switch) - are built on the same switch core.

When I have it right, the max MTU (Jumbo Frames) supported is 9720 Bytes, certainly the Plus "E" models. Since these are all pure L2 or L2+ devices (no L3 routing), there is nothing to configure, it's active by default.
