Yes, all PROSAFE line has a higher MTBF compared to the SOHO versions and it has a lifetime hardware warranty that is why the price is a little different. Performance should be the same though they may have different hardware and chipsets, the GS208 is the newer version of the GS608 you may consider it as a cheaper hardware update.

The GS108 has a lot of versions - latest version now is V4 (not including GS108E, GS108P/PE and GS108T). The reason for the hardware revision is to improve and redesign the GS108 switch. Compared to the V1 model, the GS108v4 is now smaller and has simple design. Chipsets may have also been changed to have better performance, increased buffer size etc. The first one you have mentioned is either a V1 or V2 model and the second one is a V4 model (latest).
