More than a little bit lost a network admin does pass multiple VLANs on a single link to a non-managed switch.
This "any VLAN" does read like multiple VLANs in tagged form, while "workstations" are typically active on an access port network, with one VLAN, and workstations not doing any tagging - like the ubiquitous PCs are normally working, Keep in mind: You have no way to configure access ports for different networks on the unmanaged switch ports.
What exactly you intend to do on this XM508M 10Gb switch?
I manage a surveillance system. The cameras connected to each switch are on a single VLAN per switch because they are only communicating with the servers and workstations. The workstations and servers however need to be able to communicate with every camera. The information was passed to me as the ports for the workstations have been "opened to all VLANs" I do not know what was done to achieve this.
