Jgs 524 or jfs524
I have a router that feeds 2 ip boxes, and some cameras.
Can I use the net gear jgs 524 or jfs524? What’s difference between them?
Thanks

Welcome to the community! :)
The main difference between the 2 switches is that the JFS524 supports only up to 100Mbps of ethernet connection while the JGS524 supports up to 1000Mbps of ethernet connection.

NETGEAR Community Team- colinmrgan100AspirantThanks DaneA, so I just take a cable from router to fgs254, then feed my ip tv , boxes , cameras etc off it?
Will that be better than just off the router?

Since the JGS524 is an unmanaged switch, its main purpose is to extend the local network to connect more devices via the LAN.
The recommended setup should be: router--JGS524--devices. The JGS524 is connected to the router. Devices such as IPTV, IP cameras, computers, printers, etc are connected to the JGS524.
