Netgear Switch GS305P Administration Web Page ?
Hello Netgear community,
1. Is there any embedded administration web page for this network switch ?
2. How may I know what are the IP addresses of the connected devices to it ?
3. What happens if I connect on port 5 (router port) a PC ? Does it get the same IP address as it was on any of the other 1x-4x ports ?
Thank you in advance.
Michael

The GS305P is an unmanaged, pass-through switch and therefore, it does NOT have an admin web page.

The GS305P does not have the capability to provide local IP addresses. The main purpose of it is to extend your local network so that you can connect more devices such as PCs.
What you need is a router. A router is a networking device that provides local IP addresses. To know what are the local IP addresses provided by the router, you can browse its settings by logging in to its admin page. On NETGEAR routers, you can check the IP addresses provided in the Attached Devices page.

Let say your network set up is this: modem--router--GS305P. The router is connected to port 5 of the GS305P and PCs are connected directly to ports 1-4 of the GS305P. The GS305P will NOT get a local IP address from the router because it is an unmanaged switch. Each PC that is connected to the GS305P will get a local IP Address from the router. For example: you have a 192.168.1.0 network, the router will have an IP address of 192.168.1.1 while the PCs will have an IP address range of 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.5.
