Seems like there is a odd issue between the GS116 switch and these streamers when using that switch alone. Not sure if there could a isse with the switch or what. Seems like if you have the 108 at the head and the 116 at the tail end it works but not the other way around.
Only way to check this would be to try another GS116 switch, maybe find a v1 if you can or try a GS316 and see. If the problem continues with the streamers and this other switch alone, can only presume something with these streamers and some interoperation problem with these GS series of switches. If the problem gets resolved by a different switch, then would point to the GS116v2 being the issue.

Netgear felt it was a fault with the switch so sent me a new one and the problem is cured!
Plugged it all in and all sorted
