Configure Multiple PPTP users on fvs336gv2

We have a fvs336gv2 with a PPTP VPN set up and a working PPTP user. When more than one computer tries to connect with this user account, both can connect to the VPN, but only the first one connected will actually have internet access. This firewall allows multiple simultaneous VPN connections, so I thought maybe the problem was that we are trying to connect to the same user account. I created another PPTP account, but when I try to use it I get to the "registering your computer on the network" stage and then I get disconnected with "Error 628: the connection was terminated by the remote computer...". When I look at the VPN log on the firewall, I see an IKE error saying that the configuration couldn't be found. What am I doing wrong?

    Hi kyledwa,

Welcome to the community. All of our Prosafe firewall devices support 5 concurrent PPTP users so this should work.

From the error message you posted, and the fact the firewall has logged the incoming attempt it seems at least the the Internet address is correct as it reaches the Netgear Firewall, but can you check the username/password combo are correct, and also the correct Encryption and Authentication is set in the PPTP client to match the PPTP setup on Netgear side.

Might be worth giving this document a read over to ensure settings are matching on both ends
