Remote Management: not enabled - ever
Services configured with TCP/UDP -- and port forwarding for the printer are set up as the priority order rules (i.e. #1, #2... positions)
Default gateway setup on the printer points directly to router (192.168.0.1)
BTW: as briefly noted above, this is a home install. At the time of purchase I urgently needed to replace my prior Linksys unit and this was the only 8-port item 'on the shelf' at BestBuy. Wasn't looking for anything fancy, having VPN (never turned on), etc. Just needed a replacement that evening..... ugh....
