FVS318N question

hi all,

first post :) :)

just a short question...

i got a FTTH connection the other day and i want to replace their router (Fritz 7930) with FVS318N.

As far as i understand the documentation from the ISP (XS4ALL in Netherlands) i have to use pppoe over ipv6 and i have to use vlan 6...

I m not an expert in this so maybe what i wrote doesnt make any sense, but if it does, could somebody tell me please if something like that can be done with FVS318N?

I ve tried all the options in WAN (ISP) settings, ipv4 and ipv6, pppoe, ipv6 stateless....nothing works. So the last thing i can try is to define vlan with id 6, but can i do vlan 6 tags on WAN port?

regards,
Dado

  • You may want to contact support with an issue at my.netgear.com

All the setting should be under network config tab -ipv6 for the WAN so other vlan should be for LAN side
  • VLAN over WAN is not currently supported. We are testing it on the ProSecure side. I'm not aware of testing on the ProSafe routers but it wouldn't hurt to ask tech support.
  • hi,

    thanks for the response.

I ve sent a query to the support.

    regards,
