FVS336G Speed question

I have a home network using an FVS336V router, and have several computers used for a home-based business. I needed more speed, so I upgraded two of the computers, replacing the hard drives with SSD's. The speed did not improve when data had to pass through the network. So I did the following test:

- Testing with folder containing 4914 files, using 188 MB on disk.

- Copy folder FROM computer 1 TO computer 1, takes 3 seconds

- Copy folder FROM computer 2 TO computer 2, takes 3 seconds

- Copy folder FROM computer 1 TO computer 2, takes 90 seconds

- Copy folder FROM computer 2 TO computer 1, takes 90 seconds

There was virtually on other traffic on the network during this test. The amount of data (< 2 GBits) should not be taking that long to pass through network.

Can anyone give me an explanation or advice on how to improve on this performance?

Thanks!!

John
