FVS336G v2 Logon GUI


Dear Netgear community.

I have purchased a second hand Dual WAN SSL VPN Firewall FVS336G v2.

When I connect the device on local port-1 with my PC,
I get the IP address 192.168.1.2

When I open the internet browser Chrome, Mozilla, or Microsoft ...
I get always the message that the secure HTTPS is bad.

I tried it on several PC's window 7, windows 10.

When I start a telnet session on 192.168.1.1
I have response from the CLI and can logon to the device.

I did a factory reset via the rear device button and via telnet...
but still no connection via my browser to the GUI.

How can I corect it ?

    Did you receive ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH error, or just usual "You are not securely connected to this site" warning due to self-sign SSL certificate?

    If it is SSL version error, please use browser (e.g. Firefox, Pale Moon) which still allows legacy version of SSL.

    If it is warning about self-signing certificate (ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID), please select Advanced and ignore the warning.

    Sorry for the long delay, but I can confirm that the first issue was the problem. 

    After downloading the portable version of the "Palemoon browser" (https://www.palemoon.org/) , I could connect to the device.

    I'm very happy and thank You for your advise.
