FVS336Gv2 Internet browsing problems
I have an FVS336Gv2 setup with Comcast on WAN1 and Verizon FiOS on WAN2. The WAN mode is set for auto-rollover with WAN1 as the primary. The firmware is 3.0.7-24. Web browsing is horribly unreliable. The browser hangs indefinitely on multiple computers and different browsers. (IE and Firefox) Speedtests are unreliable at Speedtest.net. However, Pingtest.net comes back with A line quality. These problems started right after the router was installed. It is not being used for much else. (No VPN, port-forwarding etc.) It was mainly selected for the dual-WAN functionality. Any ideas?

- jmizoguchiVirtuosodid you create proper rules?, protocol bindings.
- Speedy710AspirantI have it set for auto-rollover, not load-balancing so i don't have to worry about protocol bindings.
- jmizoguchiVirtuosoops.. sorry..
that is right... ...:)
Are you suing smc business cable modem/router from comcast? - Speedy710AspirantThe Comcast modem is an RCA DCM325.
- jmizoguchiVirtuosohave you swap the WAN ports and test it out?
- Speedy710AspirantI haven't tried switching which ISP is on which WAN port because it has the same issue regardless of whether I set the primary to WAN1 or WAN2 while in Auto-rollover.
After further troubleshooting, it looks as though the only protocol affected HTTP/HTTPS. Other services appear to work fine such as MS RDP. - jmizoguchiVirtuosoI would flip and make wan2 as primary for comcast and see.
also outbound current set allow any as default setting ? - Speedy710AspirantI tried switching which ISP is on which WAN port and it made no difference.
- jmizoguchiVirtuosohave you lower the MTU value on fvs and see how it goes?
