FVS336Gv3 - How to connect to IPoE and get dynamic address?
I have a Netgear FVS336Gv3 dual-WAN router. I am trying to configure it to connect via a bridge-mode Actiontec T3200 modem (Windstream DSL). Windstream informs me that this connection uses IPoE ins...

Have you tried the other WAN port? If not yet, I suggest you to try and perform the steps I suggested. If ever the same problem, proceed below.
I tested by connecting my laptop directly to the T3200 and the laptop is immediately assigned a public IP address (NOT a private address) and can access the internet.
Since you mentioned that you did this previously, kindly try these steps below:
1. Get the same laptop then connect it directly to the bridge-mode Actiontec T3200 modem. Make sure that you are able to access the internet.
2. Disconnect the laptop. Then, connect the Actiontec T3200 modem to the WAN port of the FVS336Gv3.
3. Connect the same laptop to the LAN port of the FVS336Gv3 and access the web-GUI of the FVS336Gv3.
4. On the web-GUI of the FVS318Gv2, go to Network Configuration > WAN Settings > WAN Setup.
5. In the WAN IPv4 Settings table, click the Edit button for the WAN interface that you want to configure. The WAN IPv4 ISP Settings screen displays.
6. Click Advanced at the upper right section of the page.
7. In the Router's MAC Address section, select "Use this computer's MAC Address."
8. Click Apply.
Note: If the Public WAN IP Address is still not registered to the FVS336Gv3, turn off the both Actiontec T3200 modem and FVS336Gv3. After 5 seconds, turn on first the Actiontec T3200 modem and wait for it to initialize. After the Actiontec T3200 modem has initialize, turn on the FVS336Gv3. Check if the internet connection will be up.

Hello, thank you for your reply. Unfortunately this solution does not work. The router never gets an IP address from the modem, and instead it continues to be 0.0.0.0.
I am running the most recent firmware.
If I connect a laptop directly to the modem, it is assigned a public IP address immediately. But the router can't get a public IP address.
Thank you for any additional help.
