This thread is getting old so I'm just adding this for anyone else who is having problems.
This router/modem was working well until it suddenly started dropping the connection randomly for no reason I could see.
So I tried upgrading the firmware to 3.05-24 / A.00.62
While the main board updated OK, the DSL component failed to upgrade and has apparently trashed the daughter board.
Now I'm left with a piece of kit that wont connect to my ISP.
NETGEAR support tell me that this unit has been discontinued and can't be repaired!
I was sent another ADSL modem that's supposed to go in front this device and provide the DSL (modem) functionality. Which is hardly a suitable solution as I brought this piece of kit as an all in one network solution.
My advice is if its working at all leave well enough alone.
I'll probably end up throwing this unit in trash. If I wanted bits and pieces piled up all over the house I would have separate units in the first place and not paid over the odds for what was supposed to an integrated business class all-in-one device.
