NETGEAR FVS318 ProSafe VPN Firewall 8 with 8-Port 10/100 Switch
Does this box support wireless connections to it from home devices such as tablets, smart phones?
If it does how difficult is it to configure for vpn?
If it doesn't, what is a low end Netgear device that will. I'm looking to buy a used device to save money.

Unfortunately, this device FVS318 does not provide any wireless connections/wifi and it only supports wired connection. You may try to check the wireless VPN firewall which is the FVS318N. We also provide lifetime hardware warranty on our prosafe products and a 90-day free support upon the purchase date for brand new units. You may check this link on setting up VPN.
