Did you allow TCP/IP as an accepted protocol for communication on SRVNexus? When installed, its enabled by default. I found this out the hard way. At least its not on SQL 05/08. Check the firewall rules on the computer itself. If the computer is on a domain, do a gpupdate /force on computers hosting and accessing the SQL server and restart them. Is SQL in a cluster?
