wifi7 connection problems with iphone 17

i have a rs700s

i just got the iphone 17 pro max its supposed to connect wifi7 but wont

i have a galaxys25 ultra that connects no problem

ive worked with apple tech support and they suggested

a possible router issue this is al most a new routerother devices connect

except iphone

has anyone been able to get the iphone 17 to connect wifi7 with rs700?

i have reset network settings on iphone and a factory reset still no wifi7

  • (Caveat: I have no personal experience with WiFi7.)  However, it appears that using WiFi7 requires WPA3.

This might put the user in an awkward situation:

    • Many devices are not capable of WPA3 and will be left unable to connect if the security level is WPA3 only.
    • Perhaps the Samsung phone can distinguish that these security settings are "ok" and the iPhone balks at the combination.

It might be an interesting experiment to temporarily change the WiFi security setting to WPA3 and "see what happens"

    • If the iPhone still refuses to connect as WiFi7, well that was a dumb suggestion.  sorry.
    • If the iPhone will connect with WiFi7, but other devices have problems..... (oh dear).

Might be an interesting 10 minutes.

Good afternoon, it is sent to wpa2 personal + wpa3 personal

that was the default setting from when I first got the router

Try enabling the guest network, and enable only wpa3 there.  Then connect the phone to the guest network, and see if that works.

That will clarify whether the issue is wpa2 being enabled (or not).

      Good morning,

OK, I tried enabling the guest network with

      wpa3 only

still max connect is WiFi 6e

  • I did a screenshot of the firmware of my router. It was easier to show it that way.

Can you provide a screen capture of the top portion of the Galaxy 25s showing the WiFi7 icon there. Also same for the Apple Iphone as well.

      Thank you.

I have enclosed a screenshot for my iPhone. I’ll have to do the galaxy ultra later this morning as I factory reset that phone so I’ll have to set it back up.
