SRX5308 and DSL on WAN2

I think that's what I said I did in my original post. It works just fine when connected to a PC, in "modem-router" mode (WAN access is perfect and fast). In "modem only" or bridge mode, I was able to connect to a home router (Netgear WNDR 3700) and have it bring the WAN up perfectly. So, I don't see how this could be an authentication issue (account and password are working properly).
In rollover mode, should WAN2 always be up and show green even if WAN 1 is up?
Any other suggestions or ideas?
