SXRN3205 – VPN pass through forces reboot
Hi! This is my first post. I have been using the SXRN3205 as a home WAP/NAT since 2009.
My company provides me with a software Cisco client VPN solution on my company laptop. Until recently I was running an old software Cisco solution on Win XP and that worked fine, but now I have been updated to Win 7 (64bit) with Cisco AnyConnect and that is where the problem starts. For the record, I don’t know which VPN endpoint is used on the other end – I’m just a regular user in that regard.
What happens is, that after connecting to company LAN using Cisco Anyconnect I am able to use the VPN connection for between 1 and 5 minutes where everything works fine, but then the SXRN3205 reboots without warning.
I have setup syslogging in LOG DEBUG mode to another computer and no warnings or errors are reported before rebooting – I just get the “FW restarted” message when it starts up again.
When I first experienced this problem I was running 3.0.7 firmware, which I updated to 3.0.8-24. This didn’t affect the problem. Local LAN is using subnet 192.168.x.x and remote LAN is using subnet 10.x.x.x.
I haven’t setup any of the VPN features on the SXRN3205 and it is setup to pass through all VPN types. I also haven’t made any special port forwards as the outbound VPN connection works just fine – for a little while. Basically it is running with untweaked factory settings. Also it used to work just fine with my old Win XP / Cisco client setup.
Any clues to what might be wrong? Any debugging information I can extract?

Have you hard reset the router and manually configure after you flash the firmware? I would do that first and see
