Upgrading FVS318G to 3.1.1-08 Failing
Hi,
I'm trying to upgrade my FVS318G to 3.1.1-08 but it doesn't work.
I upload the new firmware and the progress bar starts but then after a few seconds the browser page refreshes and a connection reset error is given.
I have tried rebooting and uploading again but it makes no difference. I have also downloaded the firmeware multiple times to ensure that the download hasn't been corrupted. I have also tried using IE and firefox.
If I click the back button on the browser after the connection reset is seen then there is the error message "Upgrade Failed: End of Library Data."
Thanks.

- Opps I'm an idiot. I did not follow instructions and did not unzip the .img file before trying to update. I tried to update from the downloaded zip file.
Sorry

- aditMentorTry it from another PC. If no go, then factory default it and then try the upgrade. Must be done onsite.
- wayneschefflerAspirantI'm having the same problem installing fvs318g_v3.1.1-08.
I have factory reset, Unplugged waited 15 seconds and replugged.
Tried form a different machine, Tried a older firmware FVS318G_v3.0.8-12
Tried IE, IE without addons, IE compatibility mode, Firefox. Turned off firewall and danced the jig while tooting the star spangled banner. Still it will not update. it fails after the bar moves 2 spaces when leaving page http://192.168.1.1/settings_backup.htm going to page http://192.168.1.1/upgradeImage.cgi.
Any chance this thing is calling home and not getting an answer it needs to continue?
