VPN Client Lite V5.1.4
Bought the above router.
Installed the VPN lite client by copying the setup file to a laptop (no optical drive) and used the serial number on the CD sleve. Get an Activation Error 34: This license cannot be used to activate this software. (This is setting the executable to be compatible to Windows 7 to fix another error)
I tried, for giggles, to download version 6.4 from the website. Same error.
Am I doing something wrong?

Kindly double check if the VPN Client software that you have is really a Lite version or Professional version. If ever you have is the Professional version, you can download the latest version here and try to activate the license.
Otherwise, I advised you to open a chat or online case with NETGEAR Support here and kindly state your concern for assistance in activating your VPN Client license key.
