Cannot access router configuration page after configuring WAX206 as AP with static IP
I have tried many things, but I couldn't manage to get back access, so here I am. I have configured my Essentials WiFi 6 (WAX206) as an Access Point and with a static IP address setting. I cannot re...

Factory reset shall be the last resort. I had went through several hoops to change the router's region (locked to the location of purchase, Japan) to match my actual region (Europe). I also had fine-tuned many of the settings which I do not remember in full.
I'm curious why I cannot simply access the router configuration page by:
1) Connecting the router via Wi-Fi on my computer
2) Setting my computer's IP to 192.168.1.15, subnet mask to 255.255.255.0, and gateway IP to 192.168.1.1 on the network settings
3) Typing https://192.168.1.1 on my browser
I suppose it is because I configured the router to assume the IP address 192.168.0.100; the router probably doesn't recognize itself as 192.168.1.1... But then:
1) Setting my computer's IP to 192.168.0.15, subnet mask to 255.255.0.0, and gateway IP to 192.168.0.100 on the network settings
2) Typing https://192.168.0.100 on my browser
should work, right? But that doesn't work either...
I thought I knew enough about networking, but that's not true, it seems.
I really would appreciate and enjoy a solution other than resetting.

I asked a friend, and he finally solved the problem, as follows:
1) Connect PC and WAX206 (LAN port) via Ethernet.
2) Manually set the IP address of the PC to 192.168.0.X (anything that's not 100, e.g., 15), and subnet mask to 255.255.255.0. Leave the gateway IP empty.
3) Visit https://192.168.0.100 from the browser and voila, access regained!
(I also just tried the "bridge networks" function of Windows again, but I couldn't make it work, so I'm switching back to ICS.)
Thank you everyone, goodbye!

Hi, I am having the same issues as other users - I cannot access the control site for the WAX206 access point. All of the variations like "https://routerlogin.net" just lead me to Netgear websites, I just cannot get into the router controls.
All I want to do is change the network name and password and create an additional network for guests. I am not an IT professional and cannot understand any of the instructions posted by previous users. Could someone possibly explain, in very basic terms, how to do this?
Thanks so much! If I had any hair, I would have torn it out by now.

Please read the WAX206 User Manual. p.35 ff "How the operation mode affects how you
can reach the device UI" does say:...field of your browser. (You can also use routerlogin.com, aplogin.net, or
aplogin.com.)
One exception exists: If you assigned a static IP address to the AP, you must use that IP address to reach the device UI.Yes, nothing difficult đ

Tried this - didnt work. Keep getting deflected away from the router control page. Why is this so incredibly difficult?!
