How to Retain Static IP Address on Netgear WBE710 After Reboot or Firmware Update
I am using the Netgear WBE710.
Currently, I have enabled the DHCP server on the router and assigned an IP address to the AP by setting a reserved IP for its MAC address.
Ideally, I would like to set a fixed IP address directly on the AP, but even if I configure a static IP, the IP setting reverts to automatic (DHCP) after a firmware update or reboot.
Is there any way or setting that allows the AP to retain the static IP address configuration even after a reboot?

Is the Ap in Insight managed mode or WEB page managed mode. For WEB page managed mode, then set static configuration on the AP using a web browser. I had mine in Insight mode and was able to set Static IP address configuration using the Insight app.

Thank you for your answer.
The AP in Insight managed mode is.
Hove you configured the router to assign static IP addresses via DHCP? I think that if you don’t first assign an IP address to the AP via DHCP, any settings made on Insight will not be applied.

Why?
Generally it is better to reserve the address via DHCP. That puts all the address management in one place - making it easier to avoid accidental IP address conflicts. It also ensures that you will still be easily able to reach the AP if you switch to a new router that happens to use a different subnet.
