For a distance of 700–900 feet with obstacles like barns in the way, standard Netgear Wi-Fi extenders likely won’t provide reliable coverage, as most consumer-grade extenders are designed for 100–150 feet indoors or slightly more outdoors with a clear line of sight. A better solution would be to use point-to-point Wi-Fi bridges, such as Ubiquiti NanoStation or TP-Link CPE series, which are designed for long-range outdoor links and can handle some obstructions. High-gain outdoor antennas can help, but their range is still limited compared to dedicated bridges, and while outdoor mesh units might extend coverage, 700–900 feet with buildings in the way is beyond typical consumer mesh capabilities.
