Just for the clarify the WN370 can be managed by WC7600, WC9500, WC7600v2, WC7500 controllers.

I'm afraid to inform you that the WN730 can only be managed by the WC7600 wireless controller. Since you need a standalone access point, I suggest the WAC510 access point. Kindly check its specification and comparison with other NETGEAR access points on the data sheet here.

Thanks for the info. I did a bit more research in between posting the question and receiving your reply and I have a query. One of the documents I searched on came up with the following (page 2) https://www.netgear.com/images/pdf/WC7500_DS_30Mar16.pdf which seems to show support for the WN370 by the WC7500. Well I hope so 'cos I have bought one ;-)
