Routing between subnets with 2 routers
I have a question for the community. I tried to look this up but no luck so if I missed something in a solved post please let me know.
I have a Netgear C700v2 as my ISP gateway. I was getting to the limit of my devices to connect to it so I attempted to set up a subnet with a second router.
My network is as follows.
C7000v2 (192.168.1.x) ------ WAX202 (10.0.0.x)
Each router has devices connected to it.
I have internet connection on the WAX202 so that is working fine. When I try to set up static routes (which I have read I have to do to route between the subnets) I get the message "IP address conflicts with the WAN IP. Please select another IP address.
My default Gateway is (192.168.1.x) with the Printer being (192.168.1.xxx)
How can the IP address conflict when it's not the same address?
Am I missing something here?

how many devices do you have?
Usually when I see people run into a device limit issues, its with devices connected over wireless as wired supports a lot more devices.
23 connected on the C7000vs (Max 30) and 3 (wired) 1 (wifi) on the WAX202
WAX202 is plugged into the C7000v2.
At one point I was able to ping the printer but it's not showing up as being connected to the network when I get on the subnet wifi (WAX202)
You can have more than that connected, especially if they're hardwired.
Its usually 32 devices per band. If they're higher bandwidth devices, its less but you can connect that many.
You'd be better off to put the WAX in access point mode.
