Software Wireless Controller option available?
Hello, does Netgear offer a software-based wireless controller I could run as a VM? Similar to what other companies are now providing (at no charge)? Running a controller VM in a mini-PC would save...
All WC7xxx and WAC7xx are EoL for several years, means you can't order new from the factory. Cost effective solution might be to find second-hand WC75xx or WC76xx s well s enough spare WAC720/730/740 (where the last one requires controller when I remember right) for the time being.
And no, there was a bottom-up change in paradigm where Netgear completely left the controller-based Wi-Fi AP market, self-hosted software was never available instead of the hardware controllers.
