Thanks for your reply!
Will try to do a soft reset (although the refusal comes from the Netgear website, not the router).
In case a factory reset is necessary, but in that case I'll probably flash the router to an open OS.

Which NG web site? Is there a link?
- SendermenMar 05, 2025AspirantIf I go to the router IP address, it redirects me to
https://accounts.netgear.com/login?redirectUrl=http:%2F%2F192.168.0.254%2Fsetup.cgi%3Ftodo%3D&devtypeid=WAC124&serial_num=######
From there, I have to enter a code that is sent via text message. After that, my login is refused with the message:
"192.168.0.254 says
This WAC124 is not registred for the current
user, please login with the registred user. For
more details check support website.
OK"- SendermenMar 05, 2025AspirantA power cycle did not change anything. Still refused.

Did a full reset, took me more than an hour, everything went fine until I connected the device in AP mode to my router and the internet connection went online.
Same result: cannot access my router, once it's connected to the internet. I'm being refused from the NETGEAR server.
Is this planned obsolescence? Could anyone from Netgear staff confirm?
Then I know what's going on.I'm not amused. Why am I being locked out from my device from a centralised server?
