WAC124 router - Massive packet loss only on 5GHz Wi-Fi

Thanks for the helpful response! Sorry for the delay, I wasn't able to log in to the forum here, I finally cleared the site cookies and that fixed it.
I actually solved the problem by upgrading the router's firmware to OpenWRT. I'm not sure if it was a bug in the OEM firmware or radio interference that OpenWRT is better able to handle, but it worked regardless.
I highly recommend switching to OpenWRT to anyone else who owns this router. It's way more secure and has some great features. Also, the NETGEAR firmware stores the admin password in plaintext (go through the "forgot password" thing and it'll just give it to you!)
Small update: Changing the channel to "Auto" did not help

Let us try to change the WiFi throughput mode for the 5GHz band. On the web-GUI, go to ADVANCED > Advanced Setup > Advanced Wireless Settings. From the Mode menu for the 5GHz radio, kindly select "Up to 800 Mbps" then click Apply. Kindly try to reconnect your wireless devices tot he 5GHz SSID and observe if the same problem will occur.
What is the current firmware version of your WAC124? If ever its not yet the latest version, I suggest you to update it then observe if the same problem will occur. The latest WAC124 firmware is v1.0.4.9 and you can download it here.
