WAC540 extremely slow login

Hi,

I'm using at home a WAC540 with web-browser control (instead of Insight).

Each time I log on to the device, it takes a minute or more  (!) before the Main Menu page has completely appeared on my screen, and I can use it (and works fine).

Hard to believe this is normal, is it ??

 

Others have the same experience ?

    Are you using Chrome? You can check with other browsers like Firefox or MS edge.

        Chrome as well as it's Microsoft cousin Edge are suffering from the much to old issue Netgear should address almost 18 months since the problem was introduced. Once you logged in, and the URL is redirected to the /dashboard, a forced reload does typically "fix" the issue and makes the WAX5xx workable from Chrome and it's derivatives. However, this should not be required: Can't be difficult - considering it's new WAX6xx siblings members do not suffer from the Web UI problem.
