WAX202 doesn't connect on 5Ghz only

I have a WAX202 and everything works when the system is in "both" for 2.4 and 5Ghz. I can see devices connecting mostly on the 5Ghz with only an old iPad still connecting on the 2.4Ghz.

I have come to the point where I have decided to run on 5Ghz only, but the moment I select that option, nothing will connect at all any more. I have to revert the connection to "Both" in order for anything to connect any more.

My region setting is UK. Firmware is the latest, V1.0.5.1 EU and I'm at a loss.

Grateful for thoughts and ideas please.

Please be a little bit more specific when it comes to your "old" iPAD.

The WAX202 does support 256 QAM on 2,4 GHz, while it does (to my knowledge) not operate below 1024 QAM on the 5 GHz band. Should your old iPad not be ready for 1024 QAM, using the 5 GHz band might be out of scope.

I don't care about the iPad. I care about setting 5 gig only... and nothing connects.
