Thanks for your reply, this can't be right as the figures are not cumulative and go down as well as up, which is why I'm confused as to the time period they apply to. I can find no comment in any of the documentation regarding these figures.

This wasn't written correct I'm afraid, sorry for the confusion.
Dashboard -> Device Status -> Statistics - Access Point 2.4GHz/5GHz is counting up the data by SSID as long as the device is up.
Dashboard -> Connections -> Device Status -> Connection List 2.4 GHz and -> Connection List 5GHz is counting up as long as the wireless device is associated (connected). If the wireless client does change the band or is temporary disconnected, the associated counter is reset.
Can't see any relation to a different or fixed time window. Does this fit to your observation?
Thanks for the reply, to answer your question - possibly. Each of two defined SSIDs has a TV, a laptop and a mobile phone connected (teenagers) two of which will obviously be intermittently connected/disconnected. I also use the wifi scheduling so I assume that would effectively produce a counter reset every day as well ?
What I find surprising are the actual figures, with two teenagers I can see there will be high incoming counts (Tx or Rx ?) due to video streaming from TikTok/Youtube and the like, but neither of them play games so I would expect very much lower outgoing counts, but both Tx and Rx counts are in a similar (~2:1) range. The total activity graphs for the LAN connection between the access point and my firewall shows a very much higher activity on the incoming channel than the outgoing, which doesn't tally at all with the figures from the Access point ?
Not a major problem, I'm just interested what the figures are actually telling me 🙂
