Hello dkaparis
And welcome to the NETGEAR Community! 🙂
Are you able to access the user interface of your device and check if you are using the latest firmware? If you have the latest firmware, try enabling or disabling and enable again the radio for wireless, see if it will make any difference. Otherwise you can contact Netgear support team and check if they can replace your device.
Have a lovely day,

Hello Erwin,
As the wireless never comes up, there is no management ssid to connect to.
Is there any way to access the user interface without wireless connection? I tried accessing a web server on the only wired uplink address, but didn't find one.
Regards,
Dimitri

Hello dkaparis
Can you try connecting a computer wired to the access point and set a static IP on the computer with 192.168.0.55/24 and try accessing the UI of the access point by typing on address bar 192.168.0.100.Note: If you have wireless capability on the computer, please turn it off for the meantime as you perform this.
Have a lovely day,

HI dkaparis,
Have you tried ErwinL suggestion? You may also follow the installation guide here and let us know if you're able to access the admin interface of the AP. Oddly, the WiFi Leds of the AP were off out of the box. Where did you purchase this anyway?
Kind regards,
BrianL

Hi,
I tried it, but couldn't reach the admin interface on that address. I suspected maybe it is not accessible on the WAN cable interface?
I opened a support ticket and they have offered me an RMA, so I have shipped the unit.

Dimitri

Hi dkaparis,
Thanks for your response. It should be accessible via LAN interface as this was the common way of accessing and setting it up. We are fortunate that we have the support line to get you an RMA for the said unit.
Thank you for choosing NETGEAR!
Kind regards,
BrianL
