WAX630E slow when managment lan is changed

Wifi speed on the WAX630E slows to around 40mbps on both upload and download when management lan id of the access point is changed. If it is left as 1, speed is normal. Previous access point from a different brand had no issue. That is the only change. Also the web interface is excruciatingly slow. Not sure if that is normal.

Still having these issues. I am on 10.2.0.17. Is it expected for this to have been resolved yet or is the fix still coming?
  • Nearly 6 months later and still having the aforementioned issue. Now on FW v10.3.2.4 for WAX630E and still seeing problems.

    In my case I have:

    - 1Gbps internet throughput

    - WAX630E with one SSID on a CLIENT VLAN

    - MGMT VLAN set up ("Untagged VLAN" unchecked)

    - DHCP on MGMT VLAN

    - WAX630E DHCP client

    - Port 1 of WAX630E connected to switch port trunking both MGMT and CLIENT VLAN

With this configuration tests to internet for wireless clients are 40-60Mbps, while tests from wireless clients to wired clients are 20-40Mbps.

Tests from wireless clients to other wireless clients are 150-250Mbps.

I then switch to this configuration:

    - WAX630E with one SSID with default VLAN (1)

    - WAX630E IP configuration: DHCP client, "Untagged VLAN" checked, set to 1, Management VLAN set to 1

    - Port 1 of WAX630E connected to switch port configured for untagged traffic

With this configuration tests to internet for wireless clients are 350-500Mbps, while tests from wireless clients to wired clients are 200-400Mbps. Tests from wireless clients to other wireless clients are 150-250Mbps (probably capped by hardware of one of those clients).

Looks like VLAN'ing is destroying performance. I didn't test permutations of SSID VLAN and management VLANs, but looks like others have. Whole point of this AP over consumer ones was VLANs for me.

      Hi ivant088,

                  Greetings!

We released the latest firmware based on the 6.10 IM release. We have a fix integrated with the newest version of code for the VLAN performance issue. Please upgrade to the latest firmware and confirm if the issue is resolved.
