WMS5316 Guest DHCP

Hello

I'm having issues creating a DHCP server for a guest network via our WMS5316.

The WNDAP350's are all conncected and syncing correctly and I wanted to create 2 SSID, one for Internal use and the other for use by guests.  I would like the guest network to have a seperate network range as I won't want guests seeing the Internal network.  The product sheets says the device can do it but I can't seem to work it out.

Each time I try and create a new DHCP server setting, it either states I've entered an incorrect subnet mask or an invalid IP network.

Example...  Internal network uses 10.195.1.x address.  The WMS5316 and WNDAP350's are on that network.

I am trying to enter, 192.168.0.1 as the IP Network, 255.255.255.0 as the Subnet Mask, 192.168.0.2 as the gateway and then, 192.168.0.100-200 for the DHCP range.

I also don't want the Internal users to pick up this DHCP server as we already run our own.

Any assitance would be gratefully recieved.

Thanks

Richard

  • Wait... I've found the reason.

I was entering 192.168.0.1 as the network IP but infact it really wanted 192.168.0.0.

    DOH!
