Netgear Nighthawk M5 external antenna

Hi,

does the Nighthawk M5 needs an DC schort circuit to recognize an external antenna?

    Hello moewe-8,

     

    the MR5200 has two TS-9 external antenna connectors, so antennas should be recognized without any additional hardware. 

     

    I cannot recommend you any specific antenna of another manufacturer, because there is no compatibility list of antennas for NETGEAR mobile routers. 

     

    NETGEAR offers one antenna model: the Omnidirectional MIMO Antenna. You can find more information about this product under this link.
