This can happen in Windows, even if you map the network drives persistently. There are some workarounds that can help, but they won't always work (particularly if the PC doesn't establish a network connection by the time you log on).
If it happens every time, then try mapping the NAS share to network drive with persistence, and make sure that the NAS credentials are stored in the Windows Credential Manager. But even if you do that, you might sometimes need to manually reconnect to a NAS share before you use the media server.
