Trying to register new MS510TXM but Register Button grayed out

Trying to register a second MS510TXM and the Register Button is grayed out.  Never had an issue before registering a Netgear product at MyNorton including my first MS510TXM.

I do not use Insight and just want to register the product so that I can go directly into the MS510TXM internal web server.

Using the local Web UI isn't retricted depending on the actual registration status, the registrtion isn't mnadtaory to operate these switches on recent and newer firmwre versions.

Head to https://my.netgear.com/register.aspx and register the corect serial number independent from any other App or the like (eg. the Netgear Insight App), so you gain some insight what might go wrong.

The problem was fixed when someone at Netgear manually registered the switch serial number to my account which I could no longer do myself.  As I noted I never had a problem registering any Netgear products before including an identical switch.

You can directly enter the switch Web UI without registering the product but you have to go through a nag screen every time telling you to register (which I could not do) before you get to the login screen.

I wanted the nag registration screen to go away so that I could go directly to the login screen like all my other Netgear products.  I should not have to have someone at Netgear manually registering my purchases......

        Hi jcahow,

Haven't encountered this problem before. But if you want to avoid the registration screen whenever you log in to the UI, you may want to register them directly to your NETGEAR account at https://my.netgear.com/. I think by doing this, we can avoid the nag screen that you mentioned.

        Kind regards,
