M4250-40G8XF-PoE+ with AGM734 not working
Hello. I have (3) M4250-40G8XF-PoE+ switches. I needed more copper ports so I added AGM734 copper SFPs to ports 41-46. Ports 47 & 48 have Direct attached copper uplinks and are working fine.
I cannot get the AGM734 SFPs to work with any devices. The switch recognizes them and says they are compatible, but I do not get any link lights. Is there a setting to turn these on somewhere? Per the datasheet, it mentions that AGM734 SFPs are compatible in all SFP and SFP+ ports.
Thanks for the help!

Hi dtkitayama ,
Sorry about this issue, something is not right. The NETGEAR AGM734 (ordering SKU version AGM734-10000S) is plug and play in 1G SFP or 10G SFP+ ports, advertizing its 1G speed right in NETGEAR switches.
Are you sure you procured legit NETGEAR modules, and not fake/counterfeit AGM734's? I have seen that before...
Your tech-support file out of the switch with the modules "in", will help us understand the problem better - we will see the serial numbers and be able to say if these modules are legit or not. Please go to the AV UI, Support\Support Diagnostics; and send us the tech-support file at ProAVDesign@netgear.com with a link to this post.
Thank you,
Laurent

Hi all.
I see this post is from 2 years ago, but was wondering if this issue was ever resolved?
Im seeing the same problem on our system. We have 8 AMG734 plugged in.
Only some devices work on them, i.e my laptop, and a room controller.
But the Sony screens we have connected won't work at all, no matter what port we try.
The screens connect via the standard ports just fine.
All firmware is updated as well.
Thanks for the assist.

Start by sending the Support Diagnostics as LaurentMa indicated before.
For curiosity, are these Sony displays equipped with 1 GbE ports, or operating on just Fast Ethernet (100Mb/a only or plain old 10 Mb/s only)?
