M4250 Switch AV Switch 26G4F

Happy New Year 2024 NetGear Community, I need your help. I have DANTE AVIO adapters and they are getting no power from the POE ports as it is configured by the network profile so all the settings are pre-determined. From the interface screen I see the POE symbol on all the ports but no power to the Dante adapters. Any ideas? I thought it was just plug and go. My other Dante speakers are coming up in the switch but none of the adapters.

Happy New Year, I came to that conclusion based on troubleshooting. It was the switch apparently it needed to reboot after I applied certain changes which at the time I didn't reboot the switch. Today soon as I powered it up all the POE ports are working fine. Thanx for reaching out, appreciate the help. NetGear Community is solid and I'm glad and appreciative I can turn to you all if and when help is needed.

    Hi LISL ,

I am assuming you running the latest firmware on your M4250 AV Line switch, please check here:

    https://www.netgear.com/support/product/m4250#download

When upgrading to the latest 13.0.4.17, after the reboot, please wait for 10 minutes as there is an upgrade of the PoE controller that takes time when the switch has restarted. Fans can be noisy during the upgrade, don't worry, after 5-10 minutes only, the "PoE controller upgrade done" message is logged, and the switch is operational again with quiet fans. Please don't reboot the switch again until all the above happened.

Then I am assuming you applied the Dante Audio profile to your Default VLAN 1 under Network Profiles/Configure. You can edit the Default VLAN 1 using the three little dots on the right end side of the table and change the AV template there. Please apply, then save on the upper right. You can consult our App Notes here: https://www.netgear.com/hub/business/av/av-tech-guides/

Yes, the Audinate Dante AVIO adapters (when there are PoE) should be powered just fine by the switch. If you are still experiencing the issue, please export the Tech Support file from the switch (\Diagnostics\Support Diagnostics) and send us the file with a link to this post at ProAVDesign@netgear.com for analysis. We will see what's wrong and take it from there with you.

    Thanks!

Good afternoon L.Ma; Happy New Year. I didn't even get a chance to try out your steps because soon as I turned on the switch and equipment all the POE was working. I did the upgrade a couple days ago so I'm not sure why it didn't work from the start but after trying and applying things yesterday I never did restart the switch so maybe it didn't get a chance to do what it needed to do after reboot. Thanx for your help. The NetGear community is solid, always reaching out willing to help. I appreciate it from all my brothas & sisters in the NetGear Community. Thanx....
